Leila describes herself as a world citizen. She was born in Bogota and raised in Morocco but has spent the greater part of her adulthood in Canada. She comes from a multicultural family-born to a Colombian mother and a Moroccan Amazigh father.
Now based out of California, she works as an addictions counselor with indigenous communities. Her unique approach incorporates yoga and other mindfulness tools.
Leila is fascinated by the way that movement, arts and music can release tensions and uplift people’s moods, as well as offer many other health benefits. Leila is passionate about the outdoors, travelling, social justice, natural medicine and holistic healing. She is a fierce believer in the power of education and cultural exchange and she strives to create opportunities for people to build more sustainable, empowered, healthy and resilient communities. She loves travelling and organizing eco-friendly cultural adventures, having many second homes worldwide!
Leila is eager to once again have the opportunity to contribute to the sustainable development of the country of her childhood, her beloved Morocco.
For her, working with Alyra represents a chance to participate in developing long-term responsible tourism programs and to have fun in the process!
Leila looks forward to taking you along on her next adventure!
